Transforming Distressed Properties into High-Performing Assets

We acquire and transform distressed commercial assets—unlocking value for investors and revitalizing communities.

Bono Capital Group is a private real estate investment and asset management firm specializing in the acquisition, repositioning, and long-term optimization of underperforming commercial real estate.

We target value-add opportunities across boutique hotels, mixed-use buildings, and self-storage facilities—focusing on assets with operational inefficiencies, below-market rents, or untapped income potential.

Through disciplined underwriting, strategic renovations, and proactive asset management, we unlock hidden value, drive net operating income (NOI), and deliver strong, risk-adjusted returns for our investors.

As a vertically integrated firm, we manage every stage of the investment lifecycle—from sourcing and acquisition to hands-on operations and eventual exit—ensuring full alignment with our investors and consistent execution across our portfolio.

Our Mission

Reimagining Commercial

Real Estate

Our mission at Bono Capital Group is to generate strong, risk-adjusted returns for our investors while creating lasting, positive impact in the communities we serve.

We believe that distressed commercial real estate presents a unique opportunity to drive both financial performance and meaningful change. By breathing new life into neglected assets, we don’t just improve buildings—we improve neighborhoods, business ecosystems, and lives.

Rooted in integrity, disciplined execution, and long-term alignment with our partners, we strive to be a trusted steward of capital and a catalyst for progress.

Tom Bono | Managing Partner

Tom brings nearly a decade of capital markets experience from Ernst & Young, where he executed over 300 securitization transactions totaling $100B+ in assets for Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, and Ginnie Mae. This background sharpened his skills in underwriting, deal structuring, and financial modeling at an institutional level.

In real estate, he applies the same rigor to acquisitions and financial strategy. Tom has never lost investor capital or defaulted on debt, reflecting his disciplined approach to underwriting and asset management. Today, he leads acquisitions, capital strategy, and investor relations for Bono Capital Group’s growing platform.
